I thought the whole squad was back Monday but apart from the infamous 5 there seems to be seven players still missing. Just an observation.
Fernandes? (possibly given a couple of extra days after Jota funeral?)
Dalot? - same as above?
Maguire?
Ugarte?
Hojlund?
Yoro? (Injured in EL final?)
Casemiro?
Where are they?

Im fairly relaxed now with the whole Amorim thing too.
Obviously I want it to work out for him. However of it doesn't then INEOS are going to come under incredible scrutiny. Is anyone actually going to trust them again in the fanbase if they get another one wrong? Unlikely.
My end goal has always been a sale of the club. I thought Ineos were going to do it gradually and in stages but it's now looking like that was all for show. Theh dont seem to have any intention of buying the club in full and if anything i think Jim might be having regrets over buying 27%.
We cant lose this time. If Ruben fails then I think the whole Ineos Project fails with him.

And how exactly do you make him a more appealing purchase when he doesn’t want to budge on his wages?
We sent him out on loan to make him more appealing and that hasn’t worked, all clubs are aware of the drama he has brought to the club, and a manager wasn’t happy with his application so didn’t want him with the squad. What else should he have done? Let a player who isn’t happy and could cause issues train with the club so we can maybe sell him even though the main issue is still his huge wages?

First of all in answer to the OP, Dalot and Bruno got extended leave due to the passing away of Jota. The others I'm not sure about.
As for Rashford, at the time, and even before he left us, very few us were that impressed with how he was applying himself and playing for the team. The general consensus was it would be better if Rashford left.
I doubt he would have made little difference if he had stayed, given how poor he was. Of course he showed a little bit more at Villa, because he showed a better attitude and was more interested there.
But the whole team, and Amorim for that matter, were poor, especially in the 2nd half of the season and one player wouldn't have completely turned it round. No doubt those who say we should have kept him would be moaning if he had stayed and just continued in the same way as before. It's the old argument that the alternative of what has happened would have turned out for the better, but no-one knows that for sure, but it's a simple argument to make (almost when political parties say how much better things would be under them)
And whilst Ineos have been nowhere near perfect, if it doesn't work out under them, anyone that says they must go might be a bit disappointed - different circumstances but the Glazers have been here for how long, unwanted? Ineos will go when and if they want to and I doubt they will simply leave if Amorim doesn't work out, they will just try and find another manager.
The fans have never trusted the Glazers. It's ultimately made little difference. If the same applies to Ineos, I'm not what they can do about it either - that's meant to be realism, not defeatist

Social media and faked news has definitely killed football.
I see this nonsense line about multiple managers had issues.
When I see players like Cole talking about their time, they spoke about managers having issues with numerous players for christ sake. The players still went in, trained, and got on with it like men.
If the player wants to train seeing as we are paying him a handsome fee, this is nothing short of a diabolical treatment. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
I will never be mad at a player who wants to come in and at least work for being paid!

I guess the thing is we will never know the full story of what is happening - we get snippets and soundbites from 'reliable sources', but only the player and manager will know the true dynamic.
Players can be forgiven very easily, and I think managers and players can get on with it a lot more quickly than what fans can. But on the flip side, there will be occasions when a point has been reached where there is no turning back.
But I believe he is back and training, albeit maybe not with the rest of the squad. But that can happen at clubs, but if he does end up somehow staying this season, that no doubt will be addressed with the usual club statement (they have spoken, want what is best for the club etc)

That’s all well and good but if you’re playing sh-t and have publicly stated you want to move on then what do you expect us to do with Rashford?
And yes multiple managers (Jose, Ole, Ralf, EtH and Amorim) have had varying degrees of issues with Rashford which have resulted in fines, being dropped, wanting to be sold and publicly criticising him.

My money is on Rashford going to Barça on loan. I wouldn't even bet on an obligation to buy.

Rooney stated he wants to move on and Ferguson told him get in, train hard and don;t you dare disrespect the club.
What do you mean what do we do with him? Are we still paying him? Should he work for the handsome payment he is getting?
So he should be exiled and paid millions! Whilst we sack Tea Ladys.
Makes perfect sense.

But everything was so much better under SAF in terms of we were THE club, successful, winning things and could afford to be a touch more ruthless with managers.
Theses days players hold much more power and leaving Utd isn't seen as a big deal.
The club would love to sell him but that's a tough ask. Yes, he's turning up for training, but if he's not fully putting it in and the attitude isn't quite right, he may as well not be there.
It's simple to say on here to respect the club etc etc but it's not that easy these days. Not just here, it happens at all clubs

He has just showed the willingness to come and train. The discussion here is banning the man from training and paying the man handsomely. It is ridiculous in my opinion
