Think we might need the whole squad on the pitch when we play PSG next month.
They look a top class side and certainly will be extremely difficult for us in the SuperCup.
On the plus side, it will give Thomas Frank a chance to try his tactics against probably the best side in the World at present. It will also give the players a chance to step up against a genuinely very good football team.
I am not a negative person but if we can hold them to two goals or less margin then I feel it will be almost like winning.
However I do think Real have so far been extremely poor and I think M’Bappe thinks he is above having to track back and help his team mates. I actually think he makes teams poorer by his presence in them. It is no coincidence that PSG became more of a team once he left.

Just a hunch, but I think we might get battered like a piece of Cod.

At this point I’ve got my doubts about how they’re doing this. They nearly got knocked out by Villa earlier in the season. Their rise is so fast it makes me a little suspicious about potential doping, particularly how much running they do. I’ve been a keen watcher of pro cycling over the years and I’ve seen how it’s affected that sport. Everyone was/is doing it. It stands to reason that a game that is increasingly about athletic ability over craft would also fall to the same temptations.
They press like rabid animals. It’s like nothing I’ve ever seen. Also, in this heat? Yeah, something is going on.

Are you being serious?

Deadly serious. If you don’t think that drugs like EPO, blood bags or modern equivalents haven’t entered the world of football, you’re dreaming. The game is more about the press, athleticism and recoveries between a congested fixture schedule. It’s in a prime condition for a doping culture.

Isn’t there regular testing for any substances?

I agree that doping happens in football. But your argument is that PSG are better than everyone now because of something that's rife in the game.. so logically other teams are doing it and they'd have thought of it before now.
I think it's mostly down to squad balance and quality, and good coaching. Dembele always had the talent he's just delivering consistently now.

They are scary good, and they play fantastic football, but they aren’t invincible. They can have an off night like anyone else. Also it’s a game no one really cares about so it’s a free hit. If Frank can drill Spurs to give them a game then you’ll have made a real step forward. Still a big risk you get a f11sting though. Look on the bright side, imagine facing them if Ange was still in charge.

It's only a glorified friendly against PSG. I doubt either side will be at full strength. But it will be a good Test of where Spurs are or need to be.
Important match will come three days later with the Burnley match.

On Sunday we are all PSG fans.

We probably don’t have as much to worry about, due to footballing off-season requirements (all players have to have a 3 week break iirc) - them getting so far in the competition has really hurt their chances against us as some of the players won’t be back and a lot won’t be sharp

Remember when Arsenal beat them twice? haha.
I weirdly fancy us as i think they will be shattered.
