The abject disaster still prevails, Diego will be missed for many years to come.
The future is with us though, and hopefully time will heal the loss.
LFC - yet again - have spent both wisely and quickly, breaking spending records for the new intake.
But what about the present? The Echo tells us that Ebu may be doing a Trent, waiting for his contract to run out, and then off to Real on a free. Good luck to him, although the absolute spanking they got from PSG this week may spur them on to spending money, which they haven’t really got, to actually buying players instead than having to wait to benefit on freebies.
Either way, his loss would be far from that felt when Trent moved. The CP man Guehi in my view would be a better player in that position.
Whither Darwin? OK, his record is not good, he has incredible support from the fans, he cost an awful amount of money, and Napoli are allegedly knocking on the door. I hope he stays, and proves the doubters wrong.
Chiesa? The pre-season will be his testing time. Again, I hope he stays and shows his class.
Views?
The future

I think with the passing of Diogo, Darwin and Elliot will now stay. If Diaz wants out then see ye later and same with Konate. Maybe do a deal for Rodrygo, cash and Konate?

Just read this haha…
Napoli have pulled out of the race to sign Darwin Nunez.
As it stands, it's nost likely he'll be our no.9 next season.
How we feeling about this? 🤔

As I’ve said, I’m happy. With Wirtz now being a sure-fire supply line, thins could happen

If he can't score tap ins given from Salah and co then what special pass from Wirtz is going to make him score?

Maybe he will be a reverse Samson with his new haircut?
Either way, I'm not really bothered what happens this season. The loss of a teammate like this will affect the players.
It might galvanise them, but in all honesty if they struggle this season I won't be surprised, or pee'd off.
There are more important things in life than a game.

Evening Jimmy, hope your well mate
I’m known on here for being negative, critical etc and rightly so I am definitely a glass half empty type of guy
The passing of Diogo and Andre has hit me really hard and I regret moaning about silly things, players not playing well, never being fit and the list goes on when the reality is it’s not important in the scheme of things.
I’ve been up to Anfield twice since he passed, Friday and then on Monday and it’s so sad yet it’s incredible at the same time, letters, shirts, scarfs, pictures, game console’s, flags and more
I can only say I just hope that the poor family and everyone who knew either of these lads including their teammates can somehow get the love and support they will need. We’ll need to get behind our lads more than ever and that will mean people like me getting behind them 100%

for me, a lot depends on Arnes views on the individuals. Darwin didnt have a preseason last year due to injury. so no adaptation to the system. add to that, hes still very basic in english language. If he does stay and has preseason. we know he has ability. just needs guidance and focus. Maybe Wirtz can be the missing link. The Nunez Key?
but if not, i dont think we will buy a player to `make do`. we will wait for the player we want. So if we cant get isak, is Ekitike good enough? or do we get a flexible fwd that can play across the line?
i really like elliott, he would be back up to wirtz for me. hes not an 8 and not a winger. will he stay? doubt it. nows the time to cash in on his high value.
Chiesa? Such a good plaayer. does Slot like him? dont think so. shame could be a good foil for Mo.
With the awful recent event, we are light up there now. Someone will arrive up front. (Doesnt feel right, to think like this. like we are disrespecting DJ! i know we have to move fwd, but still! )
