Brokies??

Taking a look at the transfers so far concluded and those being touted, what’s apparent is there’s a whole load of money out there! When a guy called Mbeumo is worth 70m and Elanga for well north of 50m it’s a crazy market out there… or is it? Is this just now the new market rate for a squad player? 50m the new 15m??

It was but a few short years ago when only United,City and Chelsea could throw 150m on transfers in a single window and now? It looks like every club in that top 6 has that kind of money to spare. So is 2025 now a time when United are actually no longer close to those clubs not only on the pitch(that’s been apparent for 5-6yrs now) but also when it comes to the transfer market?

Keep in mind that was the one trump card United always had, no one could outbid them or pay more wages than them but all of a sudden United can’t even get into a bidding war with say Spurs(no offence they are better than United atm) and be confident they’d land their man… are United now Brokies??? Or is Jim just playing a master stroke and about to get the next Ronaldo for 5m??

Perhaps it’s far simpler. Maybe they don’t just dont fully trust the coach?

Arsenal and Spurs have spent a fortune over the last 3 years, the media seldom mention it though.

United have been, rightly criticised for wasting £900m over the last decade or so, and now they adopt a more considered approach to transfers, they arent one of the big boys anymore? Its a funny old game.

in the EPL £50m gets you a run of the mill player under the age of 28.

Tbf its a ridiculous price that the EPL itself has driven up. any other league in the world the same 50m player would no doubt be valued at half the price.
