Evening Redmen,
I see today, Joe "half a season" Gomez has returned home due to achilles issues. After selling Quansah and everyone else being too young, we are left with VVD, Ibou and Joe.
i dunno about you, but to me that aint enough!
Now i realise we are prowling round Palace to get us some Guehi, which will be great if it comes off. Is it enought with Joes record? Remember the CB crisis a couple of seasons ago?
i know Endo and Grav can cover short term and Robbo has filled in occasionally but id really hope for something better and more concrete and long term from the Slot Machine
After our mindblowing window so far, is there a plan for Guehi and another? is there funds?
if so who?
personally i like Jorrel Hato from Ajax but he would be another foreign name and our squad is overfull with foreign names ATM
any thoughts ?

Hato is not good enough. He played left back in Dutch league and is not even 6ft. Guehi is the prime target and we might just have to pay what they want or at least close to what is requested.
We done really well in recruitment this summer and getting a CB is probably a bigger priority then signing Isak.

Hato’s about to sign for Chelsea, I think.
I think we’ll get one CB in and that’ll be it, and I think we’ll manage with that.
Guess we could get a youngster in though, as well??

yeah deffo a youngster. that was my thoughts with Hato. did see us linked with a young lad in italy last week. he seems promising too

we have the lad, Nallo i think hes called. Made his debut and got sent off. i know hes highly thought of in the coaching team and we love to promote but i dont want to have to use him as the 4th option

Giovanni Leoni is a lad from Parma thats been scouted. could be nice option. young, tall, quick and a ball player too. very raw but training with VVD Ibou and Guehi everyday would work wonders

Personally, I don't think we're getting Guehi this window. I think we'll wait for next season and get him on a free.
We've seen the club take these types of risks before. Whether I agree with them is another discussion.
Given Gomez new injury, I feel that really should tell them we need at least one more in because relying on Konate and Gomez might have the same result as relying on Matip & Gomez. We all know how that season ended up.
I would really hate for us to slow down our own momentum due to that kind of poor decision making again.
Obviously if there's encouragement from Newcastle that they're at least willing to discuss Isak, we get that done & dusted first.

Regarding Hato...I was for him if we were gonna keep last season's tactics but it looks like we're going for flying fullbacks now, so happy with a good 1v1 defender that's great in the air and can manage the channel between CB & FB
