Brentford didn’t start their pre season until a week after us, and then he was only doing separate gym work not out on the pitch so think he’s just a bit behind our squad I guess. We still have 2 other friendlies after the PL summer comp ones, so plenty of time.

Id have thought the manager would have wanted to get him at least a few minutes in these games, but Im sure thebsports science people know that they are doing.

Yeah, lovely finish.

It’s pre season guys, results and performances mean nothing. How do people still not understand this?

There’s very little correlation between results and performances in preseason and results and performances when the season starts. It’s about fitness, getting the players all on board the managers ideas and making millions from these huge games against Bournemouth, Everton and West Ham.

It's called finding positives. It's all we can do.
