It's easy to laugh or belittle, but the pressures on the players and manager are exactly the same as mens football.
It's been a real battle for them from day one, and they have kept overcoming the obstacles.
Of course they will never be as good as men, they're built differently thank God, but they are getting better and better, and thus good to watch.
I'm chuffed England won the women's Euro's

Serena Williams had it right when comparing mens and womens tennis:
"Actually it’s funny, because Andy Murray, he’s been joking about myself and him playing a match. I’m like, ‘Andy, seriously, are you kidding me?’ For me, mens’ tennis and womens’ tennis are completely, almost, two separate sports. If I were to play Andy Murray, I would lose 6-0, 6-0 in five to six minutes, maybe 10 minutes. No, it’s true. It’s a completely different sport. The men are a lot faster and they serve harder, they hit harder, it’s just a different game. I love to play women’s tennis. I only want to play girls, because i don’t want to be embarrassed. I would not do the tour".
And the same is the case for most sport, so these daft comparisons should stop, and achievements be appreciated in the context of the that part of the sport, not across the board.

How about one of those manwomans like Caster Semenya who has physicality levels close to men? If she was highly skillful, could she make lower level men's football? She'd be fast enough and strong enough.
And what about if a team found 11 of these manwomans, that are very close to being men but still count as females?
Also what if some of these are actually playing in the men's game and just don't have a ding dong but no one would know? Look like men, just no ding dong?
That would be way cooler than someone coming out as gay.

I’m really pleased for the Lionesses, but I do think the whole ending ‘30 years of hurt’ (which was more after the last win) is a bit over the top. The wait for a trophy goes on because the vast number of fans would prefer it happen in the men’s game.
Still a great achievement nonetheless.

I mean they won it 4 years ago, so it doesn't even apply if you are talking about English football in general.
But it's 2 different sports, so they should be talked about separately

The only people who seem to put the lionesses achievements onto the men's game are the vox pops idiots on morning tv and the like... These magazine shows are the lowest IQ tv going and try to co-opt every kind of victory (or anything the brings emotion) for themselves.
Skip past that nonsense and the tournament was enjoyable and the team seems a likable bunch. Long may it last... The women's game has come a long way since I first tuned in probably 12-14 years ago... Then it really was dire.

It is quite the contrast seeing England win in the women's football to what it would be like if the men won it.
BBC were interviewing some trans folk with a trans flag waving yesterday when England won.
Whereas the hardcore England male lot are to the other end of the spectrum.

The quality is the reason the women’s get mocked about. Reduce the goal size, as keepers are shorter and reduce the overall pitch size as this will bring in more technical play. Again women are shorter, so smaller pitches means not having to cover as much distance.
But the commentary as mentioned, I agree with. Something about high pitched voices just doesn’t do it
