A big second leg in Athens this evening for Rangers.
2-0 up but according to the managers principles we're still going to go for them and play a very risky game when it seems set up to do exactly the opposite. We'll know by 10pm tonight if it was a smart decision.
Team news
Ridvan not eligible as part of the squad ahead of a possible departure.
Aasgaard injured and not being risked. Igamane in the same boat...probably not but not being risked ahead of being sold I suspect.
Gassama expected to start this evening.
Expected team
GK Butland
LB Aarons
CB Djiga
CB Souttar
RB Tavernier
CM Rothwell
CM Raskin
CM Diomande
LW Gassama
RW Curtis
FW Danilo
Dessers could play ahead of Danilo. Not sure if Curtis will start but he deserves to.
Nervy evening ahead I suspect. 1-1 my prediction.

I get that Martin did well with Southampton, and maybe in time he can get us to be a fantastic possession-based team, but the players we have right now do not have the technical aspects to play those roles and it's fooking stupid to ask a cat to be a dog then get angry when it doesn't bark. Why should the manager get a free pass at being tactically inflexible?

Martin's lost the dressing room

There's 3 stupid fvcking artificial pitches in the league I think. Falkirk pitch added to the hamner house of horrors.
Point is both teams will drop unexpected points this season especially on the back of European games. Didn't see any of today's game so judging by what I read here.

I'm not sure about this but have Rangers had a different manager at the start of each of the past 5 seasons...martin, clement, beale, gvb and Gerrard?

I agree. Was arguining exactly this point earlier today. Could see it coming.
He picked the team, and was his subs that cost us. But clearly the players didn’t work hard enough, and clearly a lot of them don’t have the right attitude to play for us. If he does make changes on the back of this then I’ll give him a free pass. He’s calling out the players on day one, taken other managers months to do that, if they ever have.

Don’t think I’ve seen anyone see Souttar is excellent, the opposite.
Only positive today is that Celtic will be watching thinking this will be easy, can keep the money in the bank for next year. And that’s only a positive if we get players in and the players get up to speed with the system.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That is a worry tbh
Let's hope Lawelll was busy

Thats what I've been encouraged by.
Everything he is saying about the players is 100% correct....and it has been a problem for years.
We can beat Celtic
We do well in Europe
We can get ourselves up for big games.
When it comes to the bread and butter.....far too often we've been lacklustre, done the bare minimum and hoped we get a result rather than put the real effort in to get one.
Only worry is...he's talking about bringing in new blood and leaving those who don't want to be here behind.....well we cant afford to have them sitting picking up a wage if no cvnt wants to take them off our hands

The worst and most expensive players thankfully only have 12 months on their contract. Tav, Matondo, Davies and Dowell, over £5m a year likely saved from getting rid of them, absolutely crazy. Would sell Souttar too for anything we can get.
Outside of that you have Yilmaz, Danilo, Cifuentes and Bajrami that you’d want shot of. Cifuentes and Yilmaz clearly been told to go, so ideally you get as many out as you can then whoever is left you write off and try reach a mutual termination.

Trouble is anyone he drops now was his first pick but now wants rid and has just told the market for them that they’re lazy bassas on top of informing the market that there’s been no bids for all the other bassas that can’t even get in the team bar the one player he says is putting in a shift but can’t get picked to start!
Aside from that I read stevies comment as
I can raise my eyebrows at the schoolies in the bus stop.
I could do that big milf in accounts.
I could tackle that Margot Robbie.
I just can’t get it up for the wife.

He’s busy washing his trousers after pishing himself around 7pm.
