Linked with Shakhtar,s right back for £18m, Vinicius Tobias.
Can't see there being any merit to this one unless Bogle's injury is much worse than they're letting on. No chance we are spending that on cover and no chance we are looking for someone ahead of Bogle unless they feel this guy at a level so high we change plans to accommodate him. Really hope this is not credible and Bogle is fit to start the season.
Bilal El Khannous rumours getting stronger, be really nice to hear confirmation in the next few days. Think he would be a great signing but worried Spurs or Palace will beat us to him.
Hojland is available for £30m. Probably cheaper than Muniz who also feels unlikely with Newcastle & Atalanta linked. Hojland's wages probably too high but should be considered.

I think the lack of activity would indicate that the club is pinning it's hopes on still getting Muniz nearer to the deadline day and probably a couple of loans to fill out the squad so I've stopped expecting any new arrivals before the Everton game and depending on how that goes farke will have to make do for the time being but if we get beaten badly against Everton then I can see the owners may act swiftly then.

I do wonder if Liverpool might sanction a loan for Doak, with a permanent payment if we stay up. They've got more money for Nunez and Diaz than they were probably expecting, and a few other smaller sales already.

If that allowed us to get Bills El Khannouss and Muniz then that would be great. We are going to have to compromise on one of the attacking additions. If we had got Paixao I suspect there would either have been no No. 10 signing or a loan.

Don't see us getting an out and out 10. Nothing about the way we have set up in pre-season, or the signings we have made in midfield, suggests that. Even when Aaronson has played he has been used deeper or out wide.

Don’t think we are after El Khannous then? I think he makes a lot of sense.
Could also be used out wide and capable of doing a lot more than just being a creator.

I'd see El khannous as more like Buendia was for Farke. A wide player who is given the license to move inside and operate more as a 10.

Makes sense. If it’s him or Doak I would be much happier with El Khannous

Expect to see a starting line as close as possible to the starting line up v Everton.
Bogle hasn’t travelled, big concern before the Everton game. He’s so important and Byram no where near his level.
Perri is there so will play and Meslier hasn’t travelled, has he got a move lined up or is this the club putting a bit more pressure on him to find one?
James with the squad and available which is good news.
I’m expecting the line up v Everton to be.
Perri
Bogle/Byram
Rodon
Struijk
Gudmonsson
Ampadu
Stach
Tanaka
Gnonto
James
Nmecha
Hopefully a good opportunity to find out how well it work today.

Surprised to see Schmidt and Piroe ahead of Byram and Nmecha.
Think Schmidt is a better option but he’s leaving. And can’ see Piroe getting bullied against Everton.
