Forest v Brentford Match Thread

Brentford have lost five members of their coaching staff and half of the first team. So a test of how resilient the club is, Keith Andrews is promoted to 1st team coach from set piece coach, Yoane Wissa is still at the club as I write this and training with the first team squad.

Forest are looking sharper after completing their last preseason game although goals have been in short supply.

Brentford have their preseason shooting boots on having scored three over two games against Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Brentford are also linked with Omari Hutchinson from Ipswich, will they beat Forest's £35M turned down bid?

Forest will need to step up to win this as I expect the Bee's to start fast, press and look to score first.

If it stands that is a beautiful goal, looks onside to me, excellent cross and finish.

Just keep a clean sheet, and I don’t even care if we just shut up shop.

No more counterattack headless chickens..we’re taking the game to the opposition. Nuno is class 👏

I just hope we don't take our foot off the gas in the 2nd half. This game is won, let's just do it in style and finish the game above Man C in the table.

Soft penalty, not quite sure what Sangare is thinking, unfortunately we have given the a foot hold into the game, now lets go and put this to bed.

Promising start to the new season, good performance, shame about conceding, but that is really the only minor negative, on an otherwise very impressive display.
Even with VAR not giving any of two penalties, we were still more than good enough.
Onto Palace, next week, and that really could be tasty.
COYR’s.

Forest 3–1 Brentford. First opening-day win since 2017. Last time we opened with a 3-goal winning margin? Coventry away, 1996.

So good to be back, and looking like a proper team as well 😊
