Agree. This should not be introduced now the season has started. They must have had the evidence they want for ages now. Shocking admin for EFL.

shilst prb true Dave... I can;t see the sense in imposing a points deduction for Leicester now? - I thought the offence was whilst they were in the premier league (the time before last)... a lot of other clubs will have been affected by the none-points deduction, us for start.. is it ok to impose now we're not in the same division and it won;t affect us in the slightest

have I got all this right or am I missing something really key here?

The original breach was when we were in the premier league in 22/23, but when they tried to sanction us, we appealed as we were then back in the Championship and the way the rules were written then, they had no authority to sanction a Championship club. The rules have since been changed and they have long memories!

Actually, thinking about it, I think we got away with that particular breach for the reason stated, but the current threat of a points deduction arises from a possible breach of the three year limit on losses for the period ending in June 2024.
