But haven't seen any comments about how bad the ref and linesmen were,
Thought Bournemouth should have been down to 10 men and the amount of play acting and time wasting going on was terrible, maybe we played that bad that it didn't make a difference but who knows
Spurs were atrocious today

Complacency?
It’s always been one of our traits.

Ref was poor, but Spurs were just awful.

I think our performance was that bad that it's hard to look at any other reasons behind the performance.
Leave the moaning about refs to the gooners, that's their speciality.

Has the manager made any comments or excuses about this match.
We play well the first 3 matches (including PSG) and then faaackup at home to Bournemouth..

We was rubbish but doesn’t changed the fact it was definitely a second yellow and thus changing the game completely

Truly worrying performance from a team that came 17th last season.
This is why transfers needed doing at the start of summer and people are foolish to think this transfer strategy does affect our season.
We are still two or three light, even if Simmons was available for this game.
Disastrous result really for a team that supposed to be ‘fighting on all fronts’

This is such an ignorant take on the situation.
Not only did the Spurs players not execute well on Saturday, they were actually outplayed by a team that played very well and there was an obvious difference between a team who are now going into their 3rd season with an excellent coach and have a very clear understanding of their play, and one that looked disjointed and lacking real cohesion. The movement, the understanding, the quick link ups were really very good and it caused huge problems for Spurs which we struggled to cope with for at least an hour..
What Spurs looked like was a team that didnt really know how to react to the pressure we were being put under, and as we tried to build up from the back or when we went long, there wasnt the same degree of players being on the same wave length.
I also think TF got the line up wrong, with no real ballers or movement in the midfield which made it very difficult to escape their press.
When Bergvall came on it was a lot better and Odobert for the woeful BJ was also a massive improvement which gave us 2 wings to effectively attack from.
TF is still learning about this squad and what works in what circumstances. Porro isolated vs a quality winger was the biggest problem for me and i think if Udogie was a bit fitter may be that change would have happened at half time. Spence dealt with Seymeno well.
We know holding the ball up isnt Richarlison's strength and its a shame that Dom wasnt fit because that's his game. But even then the advanced players were too isolated, Bournemouth were very physical with them and made it very hard to get the ball under, and the lack of close support made it very difficult for any of them to then do anything progressive with the ball (again, a function of the team selection)
This crying about signings is to actually ignore what the perceptive amongst the fans saw will have witnessed on Saturday which, for me, in order, was very poor execution by the players, most really were not at the races and looked like they were coming off a tiring midweek game; an overly defensive lineup (only 3 attackers on the pitch) with no ballers or real movement in the middle of the park; a far too stand-off approach that didnt press and allowed them to pick their passes and had us far too spread out, and a team that looked far from being dialled in with each other when facing a very good opposition who really played well and asked a lot of questions.
A lot of this is not surprising when you consider the changes we are now trying to learn. But this is still a learning curve for everyone involved and we must expect some bumps like this.
