Great day down in London and at WHL

yesterday. Well until the match started.

Spurs were frankly outplayed and outclassed for the whole 90 minutes by a Bournemouth side that were quicker and technically all over the pitch. Spurs deservedly were beaten, could and should have been by four or five, so 1-0 flattered Spurs big time.

The performance was up there with the worse in recent years. And was the complete opposite to last week at the Etihad. Last week the players were all 10/10. This week several would have been lucky to get 0/10. Only Vicario with some decent saves was like a 6/10.

Hopefully this was just a one off. But who knows with Spurs, they are liable to serve up the same in any given match. Anyway it is what it is and points wise six points from the first three games is probably about what we were all looking at.

Changes for the West Ham match, Udogie, Simmons, Bergvall and Solanke (if he is ever fit) back in. Thomas needs to shake it up and get the team back on track. At least there are a couple of weeks to work on the players to get a positive result at West Ham.

There were some really shocking performances yesterday, notably from Porro, Spence and Richarlison. All three have started the season well, but they were extremely poor yesterday. Team booed off at half time. No I didn`t boo them, but the fans were entitled to see better, so don`t blame those that did. I had left before the final whistle, apparently more boos. Fans pay their money entitled to a few boos. No Levy out chants though, or I didn`t hear any.

Oh and throw-ins. You would expect one foul throw in a season. Spurs somehow managed two in 20 minutes. FFS what was all that about?

Anyway no real harm done with one bad result, as long as it does not become the norm. The end of a couple of decent weeks and decent cup draws shouldn`t be ruined over just one poor performance and result.

So we go again in two weeks at West Ham.

Be fair Sandy. First 30 seconds we dominated.

It was a very poor performance and exposed the fact that thia regime is still learning.

It was odd that it was an u changed side but one that didn't press them like they did us or like we did at City.

It needed more ballers and the first changes should really have been how we started. 3 attackers on the field and 1 is BJ against an intense team like Bournemouth was odd and didn't give us a chance to control the game or attack efficiently. All 3 attackers were isolated and often hassled out of possession.

By comparison Bournemouth played it quick, there were 2nd and 3rd runners and you could see a team that have been together for a while, well drilled and great understanding. We lack that for now and they schooled us.

As you say, hopefully all part of our learning process

Who the hell leaves a 1-0 match early?

I think the boos may have been for the ref, at least in part. One of the most pathetic and cowardly ref performances ibhave seen for a long long while. Simply dreadful!!

The tourists always leave early, only the real fan's stay to the death.

Another one that's never been to a match.

Yes it was a very slow and pedestrian performance. It was painful to see how slow the ball was being recycled from the back, especially first half. Romero being the main culprit. 20 passes across the backline to advance about a yard. Zero creativity in midfield, and the wide players and striker non existent.

Hopefully it was a one off yesterday.

The ref was very poor. Being in pink didn't help his cause.

Offer Bournemouth BJ, Tel and 40mln for Semenyo… hes a monster

posted 4 days, 5 hours ago

I’d love to have Semenyo and Kudos as starting side players, I’d get Moore back from rangers (he rarely plays) and have him and order off the bench with Kulu to come back when fit… I cannot stand the way bj plays… if he does score, he offers nothing, less said about Tel the better.

starting to look like might need a striker….WTF Richie

I guess we were getting a bit carried away after the first 2 wins, forgetting that Frank is a new manager and is going to take time to get this team where he wants it, as well as the players.

We beat Burnley and most have them down as a team to get relegated, and City, who don't seem up to their usual standards since last season and who we tend to have a good record over anyway.

Bournemouth are one of those teams under Iraola who can take you apart. That might even be the best performance we see against us already this season. The good news is, not every team is going to be as tricky as that. But we definitely need more quality coming in for when we do face more tricky opposition.

Odobert or Tel ought to be starting, assuming there's no new signing.

People forget the season started with the PSG match which Spurs should have won, being 2-0 up with 10 mins to go.
Then 2 good league matches.
Then cuffuffle with Arsenholes about Eze.
And then this.... a debacle of tremendous proportions according to my friend Sandy.
I have yet to watch the match tape. Prefer US Open ATM...watching Alcaraz demolish opponents!
Too bad Spurs can't play like this guy!
One thing I expect to see on the match tape.....Romero is not a captain. Too bad, that's something Frank has to fix.
