Disgusted at how Levy's been treated

It's been reported that Levy was told he was being replaced, a few hours before the announcement of his departure. After 24+ years he was given about half a days' notice.
It also seems that appointments made this year to the board and who Levy's been working with, were likely made with his replacement in mind. To me that suggests they were effectively working against him?
And Levy's own son, who is CEO of ENIC's majority investor, is presumably involved in all of this?
Levy largely had my backing personally, but whether you backed him or opposed him, doesn't this all seem absolutely rotten? Does this not concern you that this is how the club operates?

Fun fact though, Tottenham was valued at about £90M when Levy took over and about £2.2B when he left!

So he obviously did some things right.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

He did, but additionally many clubs appreciated significantly over that time due to the TV deals alone.

The vision for the stadium and getting us regular CL football are his legacy and he should be proud of the commercial work he did at the club as I believe it was amongst the best around.

If the coup news is true then I reckon even Levy will appreciate it, it’s straight out of his playbook.

Levy was as ruthless as they come, as the great Rodney Trotter once said, he’d scalp you if dandruff had a going rate

Funny old world innit. I personally thought Levy would go on forever at Spurs. I certainly didn't expect his demise to come like this. Wonder where it goes to from here? It feels like a coup - what are you expecting of the new regime?

they have apparently announced that the strategy is "more wins more often".

While I dislike Levy as much as next.. I do believe he has done a lot of good things but he just isnt the right person to take us to the next level. Did amazing things with infrastructure and established us as a top 5/6 club in one of the most competitive leagues in the world. Ignoring his some of his blunders the one sticks most was the Poch era where the club needed investment to just maintain our top 4 status and proceeded to f it up royaly and then appoint a string of poor managers. Im sure most fans were wondering how and why he escapes accountability for our decline over this period.

Ffs, he sacked a manager at half time. Who gives a monkeys how he went. If we won more in the pitch he would still be here.

He’s walked away a billionaire. Put your sympathy somewhere it’s needed.

The club out grew the man, it’s as simple as that.

Taking us from let’s face it hopeless mid table plodders to European regulars is what he did and well. But that raise expectations and the ticket prices matched those expectations which the football for the most part has not. He has been fundamental in us not achieving as many trophies as we should have - the Poch era being the prime example along with sacking Jose 6 days before a cup final.

Hopefully more wins more often means flogging us to the Middle East and building another super club

No. Levy is/was the highest paid general manager in the premiership.
He has run the club as a cash cow for his entire term.
The stadium was all about generating income.
He has ignored the fans.
"Levy out" has been a fan's chant at matches for years.
If Levy has been treated badly, which I doubt, he deserves everything he gets.
Good Riddance!!!

And what was done with that cash?

I wish I knew. It sure didn't go into the squad on the pitch. ENIC probably got most of it. I.e. Lewis & Levy.

Wr maintained top 4 under Poch, the summer before he was sacked we spent at record levels.

I get that the preceeding summer had seen no money spent (there was money to spend) but it think its misleading to state the club didn't spend to maintain us.

May be not enough or consistently enough but you also HAVE to factor in the Stadium build which drained resources.

Yep, but there are still plenty of moronic Spurs fans out there who don`t want the club to be owned by certain people, they would rather plod on under the misery of Levy & ENIC than sell out to an organization who could take us forward, due to there holier than thou expectations of who would be right and proper owners.

Personally, I don`t care who owns the club, all I want is to see us seriously competing to win PL`s and CL`s, along with everything else.
