‘Stop expecting perfection’

Ok but can we expect you to get a blatant red card correct after looking at it for 4 minutes?

To me his comments came across like he was heavily implying thats where the criticism comes from, without implicitly saying it.

It reads like classic grifter bad faith argument to me, make just enough of a reasonable point about something vaguely related (grass roots refs), then subtly point the finger elsewhere without outright saying it. That sort of attitude is IMO part of the reason the standard is so bad, because there's no looking intrinsically or taking any accountability.

And if we're gonna get stuck into some Winston pedantry he did use quite definitive words about 'everybody' 'always' watching through their teams bias

Ah yes, make it personal because you lack the maturity to review what you’ve said and acknowledge your error.

Right at the start you used the word ‘only’.

He said nothing of the sort and you misinterpreted it. What he’s said is true.

But seeing as you can’t admit it and you just want to make it about me, I’ll leave you to it.

"I'm not saying scrutiny isn't to be expected, but everybody who watches football always sees a game through the eyes of their team.“

Excuse my pedantry

Bad calls or good calls refs do get it wrong quite often, what isn't acceptable was Jose's behaviour after that game and the fans at the airport when his family were there, it is always ok to disagree with a call and say the ref was wrong and pash but there has to be a limit on it

Correcting my grammar doesnt count, no matter how factually correct it is, when you make it personal

He’s just making an objectively factual statement that fans watching football do so with a bias to their own team.
---

That's not objectively factual though.

It is, actually.
