the hand he has been dealt leaves him short on options.

There's plenty of blame to go around when it comes
to our summer recruitment. Plenty. 49ers & Underwood.
But let's not act like Farke wasn't involved and approving
the signings that we made. He didn't just fly in from Ibiza
first day of training and say "Right, who'd we land?"
Bornauw and Nmecha scream Farke signings. Pretty
sure both played under him previously. Bornauw at
5 mill looks a waste of resources. Nmecha, who I like
is a pedestrian freebie. Farke wanted them.
Gudmundsson is a great signing. 49ers, Underwood,
Farke, all get credit for him. If we do get relegated,
he'll have plenty of Prem clubs wanting him.
DCL? Farke was in on this one. It wasn't forced on him.
He 's said he's been an admirer for a while. Was he his
first choice? Maybe not. But he approved this one.
Okafor? Well, he's the most creative player we signed.
Was this an Underwood signing? Or did the club and
Farke like him so much based on the pre season game
against AC Milan that they pulled the trigger?
Stach? Big clue here, he's German. Farke was well
aware of him. If you think Stach wasn't a Farke signing
you might need help. Saying that, solid signing. Like
him a lot. Off the boil a bit of late but, credit club and DF.
Longstaff looks more like a Hammond signing but done
by Underwood. Probably not a Farke signing. However,
he's been one of our best players this season. Doubt
Farke would ever say in private "Poor signing."
James Justin screams Norwich player. Definitely a DF
signing. 10 mill? Add that to Bornauw's 5 mill and that's
15 mill splurged on back ups when we all knew (DF
included) we needed more creativity.
Perri and Jaka Bijol?
These two look like Underwood signings. Farke though
looks more than happy with Perri. Outside of his injury.
Bijol, our big money splash player, can't get a look in.
Why? Only Farke knows. But, if he's upset about this
one he needs his head examining.
He didn't get Buendia. Buononote and Wilson also.
Three or so players for the same position. DF wanted that position filled. Club fcked it up. Not DF.
And we missed out on some high value targets along
the way, up front (Paixio etc.). Replacing with the above
DF approved players - or so we were told by him.
We should've gone in harder for Diarra. Especially
when we see the wasted money spent on Farke subs.
Overall though stop crying over the squad we have
as if it were forced on DF. He didn't get Buendia. Get
over it and get on with it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Neither Bornauw or Nmecha have played under Farke before. Not even sure where that idea has come from.
Stach is a very stat-driven signing, which screams Underwood to me. Him being German is not intrinsic proof he was a Farke player (especially when so few of our signings were German nationals).

So obviously you believe he flew in from Ibiza first
day of training unaware of who was in his squad.

Off topic but polite request not to refer to that side as “United” please.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Said it before but it turns my stomach hearing a Leeds fan call them that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
- you have said that before snow... I'm listening, just not actioning
I feel I'm a bit too old to say words like sc 9m in a football convo.. and if truth be told I don;t think "Manchester united" are s c 8m.. used to, when I was younger I was so tribal, I think now I see them as another previously successful team, which I find hillarious when they get beat.
football holds a different perspective for now these days, I'm glad too, because I don't get wound up by posters reffering to "manchester United" as United, like the rest of the f'king world does

oh shut up Faithy,
the gist of it was you alluded to Leeds not being a very attractive prospect to manage in the PL, using the example of how long it took to replace JM... and I said the opposite, what are you not getting? - you then use the example of Slot not wanting to come to the PL... he won the PL last year.. fair to say a pretty rubbish example wouldn't you say?
when you laid down some proper points, instead of trying to be sarcy, I acknowledged that - its all there everyone to read Faithy, I said it was short sightedness thinking a club is more or less attractive depending if they've won or lost that week, which you didn't come back on btw.
Forest sitting 4th from bottom and having 3 managers this season alone, taking them about 5 minutes to replace them each time. was the example I used,
to say, 'similar to talking to Spanish' is total nonsense - it was only a couple of points I was a bit silly on, but you were too so lets not be playing moral high ground ffs..
feel free to re-read our debate and feel free to offer an opinion on my last 'short sightedness' post.. instead crying about it the next day

The point you agreed with was the first point I made, which is the point at which I gave up with the nonsense.
I pointed out Slot didn't want to come to Leeds. We are talking about Leeds right? You sure you support Leeds?
You say literally any manager would jump at the chance which is clearly not true.
Yes it's attractive to come to Premier League. But I thought we would all be able to remember the last time we did this and were rejected by all our preferred options.
And like I said in my first point, pretty clear we considered our options before season started and didn't find anyone better.
And you said I think managers actively avoid managing in the Premier League, which is the exact nonsense I am comparing to Batty's post.

No, I think he will have been kept abreast of targets. Probably asked for what he wants from each position, then offered a list of players that fit the statistical data that he offered. Some of the signings may have been a few choices down on his list.
What I am saying, is that I do not believe Farke was on solid enough ground to demand specific signings. I was also just saying that your assertions he was signing 'Farke Men' was a false one, probably by misunderstanding.
