This one is on Slot

Last season he made some brilliant decisions. This season he has made some poor ones. He clearly has 4-5 players playing poorly and to lose 3 on the bounce and continue to play the same team and watch the same poor patterns develop is not good enough.

Ekitike is playing better than Isak. MacAllister is playing poorly. Robbo is better than Kerkez. Bradley is playing poorly. Salah is shocking at the moment.

But what I don’t like is that teams are setting up deep, keeping it tight at the back and letting Konate have the ball. How Wirtz can’t get into the team is ridiculous (I blame gobsh!te Carragher for that one).

It needs sorting. Slot has gotta make a few changes. Like now.

How has Isak looked so shiiite since joining you lot?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Cos he needs space ahead of him. He is not an intricate footballer. Teams are setting up to suffocate and why not. It’s clearly working. Ekitike is more of a footballer and brings others into the game. Isak is still world class but currently the team, and Isak himself, are not playing well.

We play against a low block every game so he needs to get used to it..
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Or play someone who can. Man Utd were always gonna play a low block. So it needs plays like Wirtz, Ekitike, Chiesa to unlock it. Sziboszlai’s running power is nullified by a low block…just no space to run into.

Lets be brutally honest lads.....your league title last season had as much to do with Klopp even though he had left.

This looks like it could be the transition season most expected last year. You've looked miles off the pace in most games I have seen you.

I personally think whats happened is normal, big team changes, greaving and players missing pre season. Add "all" that in and you get what we get.

Also.lets not forget, it could very very easily have been a win today a 2 draws vs cfc and palace....

Very strange start. Could easily dropped more points but also won more points.

Today has enough chances to win 2 games.

Hitting woodwork 3x
Poss pen
Sitter from gakpo
Great chances squired frm isak and salah

Yet also forst half could.conceded 2.more

We will now see how good slot really is.

When a team is doing what you were doing earlier in the season (winning when not playing well) over a prolonged period, a run like you are currently on will likely happen eventually.

Claims of the best transfer window in history are now looking premature at best.

You could quite easily have drawn against Newcastle, Bournemouth and Burnley. Late goals have saved you a few times and that was always likely to end.

The game, the team, the whole set-up, was a bit of a mess. Put it behind us and move on? Well, that’s an option. A collective fekup?, yeah, that about sums it up just now.
Today, I thought Connor in particular was targeted. For me, that’s his best performance this year. Kerkez? Trying too hard and failing, sometimes miserably? Virgil was all over the place today.

Time to move on, Wednesday cometh, and time to inflict serious damage on Frankfurt.

IMO, we didnt deserve to lose today. dont get me wrong: we werent great or even good. but not terrible. there is too many issues at once.
1. grief. enough said.
2. so many new players trying acclimatise at same time. it needs time.
3. several established players out of form
4. trent leaving is having greater effect than expected.

for me , we need to keep a back 4 settled.
bradley gomez vvd robbo

ibou has been poo. kerkez and frimpong need training. Klopp kept certain players on the training field til jan when they first signed. robbo being a prime example.

Szob grav macca/jones in mf.
Mac needs time to catchup. Wirtz needs training to acclimatise.
Gakpo on another would have the match ball. he is showing form along with ekitike and chiesa.
give salah and isak time to get fit and form from the bench

aside from this tactically, we miss trent. both he, vvd and mac give us the quick ball fwd and switch ball. both these tactics allow us to break and create havoc in opp def. with only vvd being here and fit and in form(ish), this isnt happening.
