The whole narrative against Arsenal is absolutely ridiculous. In the age of the social media, these lazy pundits have nothing else to show other than soundbites.
If any of these incompetent pros or journos managed to dig deeper, they will see that this league is across the board at a higher level than it's ever been. Obviously the style of play is not great on the eye, but everyone trying to rely on set pieces/throw ins suggests that more than ever, it's a game of margins. The teams now have so many physical and fast players who set up very well defensively, that you can't get away with being on the front foot at all times. The best example of this is Pep adjusting. Even against Leeds in the 2nd half, City sat back and absorbed pressure. This is unheard of from Pep against a team that is much weaker. Liverpool, who strolled to the title last season, have struggled despite actually playing some good football. Their results in CL actually show how good of a team they are.
As for Arsenal, yes we find the style frustrating, especially at the lack of fast pace build up. In other competitions, that's not been the case as opposition set up differently to how PL teams set up. The fact all 9 teams from PL are in the KO stages actually says it all.
We all hope it's Arsenal who obviously win the title, but whether it's City or Arsenal, it should go down as the most difficult title win in the league's history.

I'll always remember in 2010 ish Eduardo dived to get a penalty Vs Celtic. Shouldn't have done it, but the game was done and dusted by then anyway.
The media outrage machine ensured he got banned, so arsenal had to appeal by saying multiple players have dived in the past without receiving a ban. It was quickly overturned.
I've used this example because it shows there's something about arsenal that have always rubbed the media the wrong way. It's not a recent thing

Who is ‘all’ ….i would rather city as it means fack all but to city fans
Why is it the most difficult too? The gap has been closed from the bottom to Europa that’s a certainty but the same teams are still fighting for champs league spots and I’d argue it was more difficult to win the league back when arsenal and united were fighting it out…yeah it was just two teams but it was a huge battle (unless my memory is hazy)
Everyone bar arsenal have been shat / inconsistent this year ….thats no stick to beat you guys with though ….you deserve the title win

I think it depends on whether you watch football for 2hr of entertainment, like you do a movie (obviously hoping your team win). Or if you watch it just hoping your team win. I don't mind the reliance on set pieces and fair play to Arsenal for finding a winning combination but their games are not worth watching as it feels like there is so little actual football happening. It's not their job to entertain but I would rather watch e.g Bournemouth v Brighton with nothing riding on it than an Arsenal game with the title at stake. I've never felt that way with Man U, Chelsea, City or Liverpool (apart from last year a bit).

Really don't understand the arsenal hate.
The problem is the premier league in general whereby most teams employ a low block it just so happens that atteta is ahead of the game in realising that one way of beating the low block is through set pieces.
Funny how teams of other teams dont moan when their team win with a set piece goal.
Arsenal have proved by our showing in europe when teams come at us we are capable of destroying teams.
Its just sour grapes especially from sad sad liverpool fans

Lewis Skelly last season for example. We beat city 5-1 at the Emirates (scored some excellent goals btw), but all the media could talk about for the whole week was Lewis Skelly's goal celebration mocking haaland. You even had cuuuunts on talksport hinting they'd break his leg if they could. He is a teenager.

Things like Neville suggesting Liverpool players should be hitting Martinelli for trying to move Bradley doesnt help either. And then the sentiment of it going too far xos its Arsenal is supported by no-one mentioning Dan Burn doing the same thing the week after, or a Brighton player doing it last night.
Maybe you could argue the reaction was cos the injury turned out to be very serious, but that wasnt known in the moment.

When you're at the top at the expense of others (particularly others who are far from where they think they should be) you're always going to get some flack.
The fact we absolutely do shiiiiiithouse as much, if not more than anyone else adds to that, the fact we're now massive spenders, our manager rubs people up the wrong way and our style of play is very disciplined means it would be odd if we weren't hated.
Who cares, that definitely comes with the territory.
I did find the mid/late Wenger years a strange one, not so much opposition supporters disliking us (don't think it was more than a percentage of the loudest mouths). But the fact sides were encouraged and allowed to rough our players up, leading the career threatening injuries was a disgrace. I can understand why that period effected our supporters too, it was a disgrace to the League.
Right now though we should just enjoy being top of an incredibly tough league, we're hated because we're top, we're masters of the dark arts and we're no longer being broken by poor refereeing and financial constraints.

I think its obvious that the top teams seem worse on paper, so whoever wins it has an easier ride at it. Whether thats just cos we are both getting lucky or its a result of the overall quality of the league i don't know for sure.
My biggest point last season was the luck you had with fixtures and the timing of playing teams. Obviously us and City being off it contributes to that, but teams not hitting 90+ points seems to becoming a pattern and not an anomaly, which could speak to my original point.
