Wooooooo no more will we have to endure that awful man! I cannot express the sinking feeling my heart underwent when his name was on that team sheet!
Gibson Leaving Party!

i know what you mean, its weird i agree. i think it may have something to do with the competition element in the prem. look at the jones saga, i know we laugh at the comments of the lfc fans but could imagine cfc or city bidding 20m to scupper our deal
look at the amount of careers wrecked by buying to prevent the competition getting a player
but then again henderson for 20m and jones for 16m, if i was another team i would try my luck with the top teams in the prem

Why are people so excited for Gibson to leave? With him and Scholes leaving, we'll only have Rooney and Nani who are capable of scoring outside the box. At least Gibson brings something different to the table, and who says he can't become our new John O'Shea? He only played 3 full league games last season so it's not like he's been given all the chances in the world...

I think he is a decent player, not for a team in the top four though. He has a great shot and good vision. I would not be surprised if he came back to haunt us. His performance in the second leg against Shalke was outstanding, my M.O.M.
At the age of 24 he needs to play games and that is not going to happen at United. He will be a more than able replacement for Henderson though. Gibson will create and score more than Henderson, but lacks Henderson's stamina and pace.
Best of Darron, only not against United.

A player is only worth what a club is willing to pay, alOt of clubs where interested in jones hence the high price, when we sold nistlerooy and rossi there werent too many clubs sniffing around, the same goes for sahin and ozil. if the hammers, newcastle and everton also wanted gibson i would expect him to go for around 8-9million

hmm 3 solid players potentially leaving all with international experience? Sounds a good deal for Sunderland

I hope O'Shea stays, the best squad player we've had in my lifetime, can play anywhere, even in goal, legend!

We should be keeping Gibson IMO. Big mistake to let him go.

Just teams like Madrid manage to buy Ozil for £11mil, Sahin for like £8mil yet if we were in for them, I know we wouldve paid clsoer to £20mil for each. (btw, them 2 are class!)
==========================================
any player available, we have to compete with the financially doped clubs ie - city and chelsea, as well as the kamikaze spending clubs like liverpool. even arsenal if wenger finds out how to open his wallet and the directors decide to actually invest rather than milking big fat share dividends.
if barca don't want them and they want to come to span, madrid have no real competition.
