Looks like Newcastle might also be in it

for the Top four. We're gonna need to approach this season's league campaign as if we need to win it (but we know we can't). Only three points separates city from Newcastle and it looks as though the points gap will remain a small margin when the season ends so we'll need every point we can get tbh.

We were good with keeping possession that day, made it tricky for Newcastle in first game of the season.

Villa a few seasons ago were third by new yr, finished 6th.

Youareverminated

lol exactly we really should have killed Newcastle off.

Plus we should have had a penalty barton was a mug.

We would have won that game if he had 11 men.

we are still in it for 4th if we can build on what we have now if we slip back to how we started the season then no but I have a feeling we will only get better and we will have players coming back from injury

May sound bitter but I think their start has been exaggerated, they haven't really played any top quality teams yet

What i think they;re benefitting from is the sale of Andy Carroll for that ridiculous fee which has freed up the rest of the team

I think their real strength is the midfield. Cabaye looks a bargain, and I like Tiote as well (I would love to see this guy in a Chelsea shirt) and at this rate it won;t be long before bigger clubs start calling for them

After Stoke away and Everton at home Newcastle have Man united and Citeh both away followed by Chelsea at home, to be honest i can only see them getting three points from their next five fixtures

Newcastle are having a hell of a run, and who knows, they might be in with a shout of Europe by the end of the season. But on the flipside, the last time Newcastle were relegated, the club that finished directly above them and barely survived the drop had been in the top six for much of the time until Christmas - that team was Hull.

It doesn't matter how good a start you have, the table is decided by where you finish. Newcastle are doing well but they have a long way to go yet.

If we're still in the top 6 by January. I don't think we'll be forced to sell anyone, in which case we'll be coming 6th or 7th

I don't think Newcastle has had much injuries, they have almost played a consistent team week in and week out. Lets see if they good backups!

We’ve had our sheettiest time in a long while, but are somehow nowhere near being out of touch with 4th.

Newcastle will be proven to be sheet. Liverpool have spent £100m and are still sheet. Spurs transcend sheetness in everything they do and stand for. So why not indeed?
