Germany World Cup star Mesut Ozil's agent has said Manchester United have registered an interest in the Real Madrid playmaker.

Reza Fazeli said: "We thank Manchester United for their interest but Ozil is fine in Madrid and has no intention of leaving."

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is keen to find a replacement for the recently retired Paul Scholes, with Wesley Sneijder also a potential target.

Ozil is on record as saying that he refuses to play for a team that played Carrick, Park and Anderson in a Champions League Final....
