How can we improve on this??

Ok so after the dissapointment of the CL final, Fergie clearly came out and said that barca were the benchmark and we would have to improve to beat them.

I kind of agree, i think over the years we have shown we are too good for the premier league and can out compete most teams, even this season with a poor team we won it comfortably.

So to improve to the standards of barca surely we have to build a team that is stronger than the one we fielded in the champions league final??

Now to me this means buying players that would fit straight into the first team and be able to knock barca of their perch. So how do we improve on..

With the signings of De Gea, Jones and Young surely these three would not be able to knock any of the current 11 out of the first team, IMO we have improved our squad but not our starting XI, but it is our starting XI that will topple barca, not our bench or squad.

Bring on a marquee midfield signing.
