Charlie Griffin Signs for Forest Green

In perhaps the least surprising transfer move of the summer, Charlie Griffin left Stevenage on a free transfer and heads back to the conference to play for Forest Green.

In truth Griff never looked like he was going to cut it in league two last year. Too slow and cumbersome he wasn't mobile enough to work as a target man up front alongside the mobile Chris Beardsley and alike. He was far outclassed with the signing of Harrison who is big enough to be a target man and mobile enough to cause defenders problems.
