Ishmael Miller misses Nottingham Forest's Championship date with Reading at The City Ground this evening as he is to undergo hernia surgery.
The striker has been playing on with the problem for several weeks and had hoped to make it to the international break before having the op.
But he was in such discomfort in Saturday's game against Hull that the decision has been taken to for him to have the surgery this week.
It is expected that Miller will be sidelined for three to four weeks.
Robbie Findley takes his place in the starting line-up to face Reading, while Guy Moussi returns to the midfield after suspension at the expense of Jonathan Greening.
Meanwhile, Miller has been fined £2,500 and warned as to his future conduct by the FA after admitting a charge of improper conduct / bringing the game into disrepute for comments he made on Twitter.
Forest: Camp, Chambers(C), Morgan, Lynch, Cunningham, Gunter, Moussi, McGugan, Majewski, Tudgay, Findley.
Miller out for 3-4 weeks. + tonight's team

Big loss for us. Miller has so much potential but hopefully Findley can do the job. I still think he's more of a wide player but Derbyshire hasn't done it for us so far.

He will be a big loss but after Saturday's game we will have another couple of weeks off. Hopefully he won't be that far away after that and also maybe Blackstock can be getting closer to coming back as well.

Would you prefer Ray went round his house to find out directly from the player how his recovery is going?

caniggia, I've said this before and i'll say it again, my cousin who is a Red Dog fan, and is another Red Dog who doesn't go to games, rang me tonight and said to me, we'll be taking over you just after Christmas, cause we have players coming back. That's what he heard on the radio tonight, so I hope that answers your question. You've got a lot of fans who listen to the radio and who in mt opinion are not the real Forest fans.

So let's get this straight, fans who listen to the radio aren't real fans?? WTF, I've supported Forest all my life but have to listen to Forest player and get info from Radio Nottingham online because I can't get to many games due to transport issues and work commitments, does that mean I'm not a fan??
If I lived in Nottm I'd have a season ticket and go to all home games. I'd go away too if I could afford it.
