Bales - I think you're right just from reading that article. As I said earlier its nice to hear that from a player. He sounds like he's not experienced that sort of relationship between player(s)and fans before which surprised me.

Definitely ddd - considering the career van der Vaart's had it is pretty surprising, and nice to hear of course. I'd still like to hear it from Modric himself when he signs a new contract

Don - I have to agree with ddd - Tevez's latest insult to the City fans is the polar opposite of how Modric has acted. Tevez has publicly disrespected the club and it's fans with his actions, while the Modric situation happens all the time.

He started against City. What your point? Even if he didn't want to play, he did. How does that make him anything like Tevez?

Tevez allegedly said he didn't want to come on and play
Modric said he didn't want to play against United and City. They both committed a similar offence by not wanting to play for their club. The only difference is Tevez has gone about his business in a bad threatening to sue etc, while modric has got on with Football. Tevez is obviously worse, but Modric wasn't exactly innocent in this whole thing
