Interesting that Shacks left to be part of a set-up with better promotion prospects, but interesting to note that the Rams are only 3 points ahead of us at this stage and have a slightly worse goal difference.
It could well be that come 7.30pm on Saturday, we'll be above them in the league with the half-way stage still approaching.
Could this be another example of players leaving for 'better things' like Howard and Boggy where they'd have been better off staying??

Tbh I expected him to leave after the exceptional season he had with us, but not to a team who finished 7 points below us when the likes of Swansea had supposedly tabled offers for him. I've been relatively happy with our defence this season barring a couple of games (Cardiff for example) but I do think he would've added some extra presence and composure. Either way, neither of us will be promoted this season so doesn't really matter.
