Xbox Fifa 12 chants

Is it possible to put custom chants onto the Xbox 360? I know it could be done with the PS3.
But, Microsoft being what they are, it seems this simple thing can't be done on the Xbox. I've tried putting chants on a CD and a USB stick, but it won't allow me to transfer them onto the hard drive.

I was then informed that only songs from original CDs can be ripped, and not copied ones. Is this really true?!?
