So, have we plateaued, or are we capable of pushing on from here? Where have we improved? Where have we lost out?
Seems to me, from the other side of the globe, that we are looking like a settled Championship side, with enough about us to stay in the top half of the table, but lacking the drive we need to take it to the next level.
Sometimes I think it's Bates refusing to put real money into the team, other times, I think it's the fact that Grayson just doesn't inspire great performances. You never hear players saying what a great manager he is, or how much they learned from him, or how much they respect him. Never.
I've seen us on about four occasions this season and it amazes me how erratic our players can be. You think what we were like against Donny away and then you think about Barnsley at home. Same players more or less, different Leeds teams. Lees, White, Clayton, Snoddy, Macca, Becchio - all great on their day - just not great enough often enough at the same time
Frustrating as hell. Hard to see us going up this year unless we can find that impetus Southampton and West Ham seem to tune into every week

we will NOT be getting promoted this year, its a shame but we just don't have a squad capable of promotion its average

Not sure that I agree, mincepies, it's more like we have good players but we just lack unity on the field. When you think of the Don, or Howard, even O'Leary in his first year, they all had an idea of what they wanted to achieve and how they were going to get it. You got consistent performances from the team - so that even when we lost, you knew they would get their form back and give the fans something to believe in. I think if the manager has that self beief, he projects it onto his players and they respond.
Memo to Santa - a couple of pints of charisma in Simon's stocking please.

Happy as Larry agreed mate.. my opinions seem to change about Leeds'd season daily... one munite we are bouncing back from the blackpool game to win at Leicester... feeling upbeat.. we could do it... then a defeat at home to Bransley gets me thinking the other way... it's really frustrating...
as for your questions... again, two minds... I've always stiuk up for SG.. thinking he is the man for the job, and to be fair, I've stuck up for Bates... thinking he is trying to build foundations rather than just sign players at will... to be honest I just don't know anymore...
take it game by game... that's all we can do... I'm still going to lean positive though... promotion this season Lionel Messi signs next season

If as a lot of people on here think this is a harder league than last year then surely the same points tally must mean then that we are improving?

The amount of times we concede the 1st goal in games is far too often. Also another worrying occurrence is that often when we do score the 1st goal we concede again soon after.

We just dont have the quality needed for promotion.
We have improved a little in some areas but the loss of Max was a massive blow.
We failed miserably in the summer and it was so obvious to some of us
