Don't you just miss the good old days with Keano and Scholsey?
The former controlling the midfield , protecting the back-four , winning fifty-fifty balls , starting counter-attacks , making bone-crushing tackles and intimidating the opposition.
The latter absolutely unstoppable going forward , creating chances , setting up goals and scoring quite a few screamers himself.
SAF never really did find a replacement for Keane after he left albeit we still continued to dominate english football winning 4 league titles over the last five years.
However I can't help but wonder if Fergie will ultimately find a permanent replacement for Paul Scholes after his retirement last year because as evidence from recent performances by our midfield , he definitely will have to.
It's still a mistery to me how we didn't follow through on the Wesley Sneijder deal last summer .
I don't know if I'm being harshed but I don't think we'll be able to continue dominating english football and maintening our great status in europe in the forseeable futur unless we bring in a strong midfield force - hopefully this january ...
Thoughts?
Fergie and our midfield

Talking about Sneijder, I have only seen Inter a few times this year and he has not impressed, that much.

According to many Utd fans, we don't have any problems and our midfield is excellent.
I don't share this view, I think Utd have a very sub standard CM

I have never actually seen any United fan say this on this website.

In a way you cant blame SAF, he has been quite open about things, literally if we sign someone what happens to Pogba (and Tunni, Morrison, Cleverly as well as Anderson for that mattter). You HAVE to give these guys a chance.
Sneijder looked a bad deal tbh, 35 million his wage his age, the injuries and he aint an out and out midfielder. I feel Ozil was the one who got away, was gutted when we didnt get him . Martinez, Gotze, Ma'villa, Hamsik will never happen in a million years either, hopefully SAF will sign some hidden (cheaper) talent who actually really WANTS to come to UTd for guts and glory, or the youth will step up.

What kind of an article is this? Do we miss Scholes and Keane? Quite obviously, who wouldn't? Seems a bit pointless.

I disagree, of course United's aim is to win stuff, but developing youth is also part of the program.
You don't have to have one over the other.

I think you need to read up on the history of Manchester United if you want to come across as a serious Manchester United supporter.
For gods sake, I have to agree with BillyBob here.
