without getting out of second gear,
You lot have done very well so far this season. Obviously riding your luck last week at OT.
The main thing I want to say is what a keeper you have. If he keeps it up I would make him player of the season already. Has he made any mistakes at all ? I have not seen any from him.
Also what height is he as he doesn't look the tallest of keepers. You were a little unluck yesterday. If Pardew acquires another 3 handy players you will cement your place in the top 8 I would say with out a problem.
Finally how do you rate Simpson up there ?

Sod cost me £100 quid yesterday - but what a cracking match he had, for me MoM. Best in the league? Dunno, havent seen enough games but if this form continues then possibly yes.

As for Simpson, he's a solid player, imo. He can back off sometimes, but he's incredible at reading danger and sweeping up other people's mistakes. We have a ridiculously high win ratio with him in the team too (something like 70%!).

He's not good enough for Man U or England, but he's definitely a decent starter for a lot of teams and a good squad player for nearly all teams

Simpson = meh - easily replaceable. Wouldn't really mind if he left tbh as long as we replaced him.

Exactly. He's not great attacking and has a few weaknesses defending but he IS improving and I can see him being a certain starter if he continues. Doesn't pull up any trees but does his job

I think he could get into the Man U team, if he was already there. They wouldn't buy him..
