I just had an argument with a bluenose who, instead of arguing about who has the best support in the midlands, decided to end up with childish statements. I have a bluenose mate who got jumped by a group of villa fans recently because he had a blues coat on walking through the park to go home. It annoys me how so many fans from either side are so stupid and can't take any banter and have to resolve to petty comments and accusations when having football debates.
I find all the mouth we're getting about mcleish is, in a strange way, mildy amusing (I say that lightly). Im frustrated with our situation, but how can any idiot take it personally or have a hissy fit over it. Some people really lack a sense of humour and lack of intelliegnce. I got to admit, lerner looks pretty stupid right now. I'd have walsalls manager (who is that anyway )
Also, how have you all been enjoying your european trips? My mate who was the year below me at school summed it up, saying all these years my dads had a chance to take me to a european away game and I've never gone, yet blues get their one chance and he goes before me!

Just because London is big it doesn't mean the clubs are spread out.
You could walk from Fulham's ground to ours (Chelsea) in less than 20 minutes. Their club shop is at the end of Fulham Road in fact.
Arsenal is just the other side of Seven Sister's road, they are one tube stop apart from Tottenham.

I know that Bubbles I have walked down the seven sisiters road plenty of times and been to near enough all of of the grounds in London apart from Dagenem and Ridbridge.
The fact that you have so many derbies though waters it down a bit.
In London everyone hates each other but its not the same as living on top of each other like we do in Birmingham.

I disagree with you there;
From my limited experience I would say Birmingham is pretty much divided. Where I have lived in the North of Birmingham it is extremely rare to find a Birmingham fan, I have actually seen more WBA fans here than Blues. I expect the same is true of South and East Birmingham, whereby you would rarely see Villa fans etc.
London fans are completely spread out. South and West London is predominantly Chelsea but it would by no means be unlikely to come across Arsenal fans (of which there are several in these areas too).
I would argue it's the other way round. In West Mids everyone hates each other but in London everyone lives on top of each other.

I live in Kitts Green/Stechford, east Birmingham and it is very much mixed, although probably slightly blues outnumber the vile. North Birmingham ie Sutton/Erdington, is mainly the vile and South Birmingham ie Northfield more Blues. However in most areas you get a mix.
I drink in serval pubs across this fine city including a couple in Aston and Nechelles and get a lot of banter for being a nose. Most pubs I go into you get a mixture of the fans and I think that is where the hatred comes from.
London is so big and having worked down there for a bit in the past, you can go into plenty of pubs that don't even know what football is, let alone have banter with the local fans. You tend to see more of the rivalry south of the river, where Millwall just hate everybody that isn't Millwall.
Bit to0 posh around Chelsea for any banter.

Bubbles, I hear John Terry likes the Black Country so much he often shouts out the name,

I agree, South of the river (where I'm from) you tend to find it a lot more football orientated because that is where most of the fans come from (certainly Arsenal and Chelsea fans anyway).
I would probably brave walking down Finsbury Park with Chelsea gear, but not Seven Sisters or Green Street.
Millwall are filth, take things way too far, my local kebab place had a run in with Millwall fans a few weeks back and I could go on for days about the stories about them, a pure vile club

I have been to Millwall on plenty of occassions and have had some run-ins with them while we have been down there and at St Andrews. They give it the big time and all think it is a film like Green st or Football Factory.

Was in London for 7 years, a long time ago. Enjoyed doing the rounds when Villa came down. Chelsea, Fulham and West Ham were all OK; the fans went to enjoy themselves and be entertained. Spurs were grim-faced and serious, I reckon they ruined Greaves as an entertaining player; on one great occasion Villa were losing 5-1 at half time, the final score was 5-5, all Villa's second-half goals being scored by Tony Hateley. Spurs were totally shocked; great! Arsenal were just big-headed and boring.
