I think Berbatov is a player we should go for, he is better than chamakh and park and he doesn't really get game time at united but is still a very good player, and might be able to complement Van Persie well. But the question would he still like to play second fiddle to rvp, will man u sell or loan him to us, can we afford him, will he fit into our system.
other strikers worth a mention are Odemwingie, Rodellaga, Ba, K.Doyle. I think the key is that the above players have premiership experience and would not need time to adapt unlike chamakh and park.
Thoughts?
Strikers!

Berbatov's out of contract at the end of the year so it could be a possibility, certainly a better option than anyone else we have as back up for RVP.

ARSENALISATION

Podolski wouldn't need that long to adapt I could imagine as he is a very experienced player..
Also, why does this striker have to hit the ground running? We already have Van Persie and Podolski would only be back up so it's not a big deal if he takes a while in England to acclimatise

Berbatov = Too expensive in wages for a back up also too lazy to lead the line

but who is better than the "1 player low on confidence", btw why was he voted out by the pm?

Protest vote or something. The PM wanted the award annulled.
I think Berba could do a great job, the myths that he's a lazy player kinda annoy me. His body language suggests he doesn't do much, but when he was getting game time for Utd he was often among the most ground covered per player in matches.

PODOLSKI!!!

Kevin Doyle The non-scoring striker? Would rather have Stephen Fletcher!
Rodellega is a poor mans Gervinho, would be totally pointless having him in RvP role.
Demba Ba, will soon pick up a career ending injury.
Berbatov, too lazy. You people moaned about Bendtner and Adebayor enough!!
Odemwingie, too old, too injury prone, too selfish, too lazy. Good player, but not good enough. Would be better with a younger player of a similar level who could improve.
Podolski is an interesting option. Doubt he will score many in the PL though.
Don't worry, Benik Afobe is back in training. Hopefully fit in 5-6 weeks.

What is wrong with Ba? He has thrived @ Newcastle and already has over 7 goals?

Dodgy knee or something. Rumours are that he is very close to breaking down.
