Hello friends.
Just a quick question for the forward thinkers out there.
If both Manchester City and Spurs are in the Champions League group stages what seeding pot are you likely to be in?
Obviously City were handicapped by being in the 3 pot this season, and drew a stinker. Spurs were also in the 3rd pot last season I think.
Are either likely to jump up to a higher pot, considering neither has had a great European campaign. Or does it look like 3rd pot again next season?
Obviously it depends on which other teams qualify, but at this early stage could England see two of its teams in the 3rd seed pots?
Hello peoples.

Why would it concern Arsenal supporters, they won`t be in it next season.

To be perfectly honest the whole coeeficients thing is a complete nonsense. It is difficult to get your points up, if the same teams are continually seeded year on year, thus giving them easier groups, thus their coefficients always go up or stay the same.
It`s ridiculous that despite Arsenal having not even won their own domestic league for nearly 10 years, let alone never having won the CL are rewarded year on year with a Top seeding berth.

Then surely it is ludicrous that Spurs have a seeding at all, due to not winning their domestic league for over 50 years.

But Spurs did not get seeded last time they were in the CL. Get your facts right sunshine.

They were in the third seeds pot. If they weren't seeded at all then you would have been in pot 4!!

Being supposedly seeded 3rd out of a four team group is not my idea of seeding. It`s my idea of a complete farce.

The seeding system doesn't give the top seeds the easiest groups. It merely makes sure you don't have a group with more than one top seeded side in it - making it easier to get lower seeded sides through to the knockout stages (where they'll probably be knocked out by the top seeds anyway). It's the same system as used for the Euro and World Cup.
I wouldn't say Bayern Munich, as a top seeded side, got an especially easy group this season.

Better than being seeded 4th, which under your proposal Spurs would be.
