Lille have confirmed negotiations to sell Gervinho to Arsenal are making progress and expect a resolution to be found next week.
Gervinho is keen to move to the Premier League and has been linked with several clubs, including Manchester City and Newcastle United.
However, Arsenal appear to be favourites to capture the Ivory Coast international with reports claiming the attacker will cost in the region of £10million.
A move to Lille's Ligue 1 rivals Paris St Germain has been ruled out and the French champions' general manager Frederic Paquet revealed talks are continuing.
"It should be next week," Paquet told mercato365.com regarding the current state of the discussions.

wow thats ignorant seeing as he scored 13 and had 10 assissts more than nasri - not only that, have u thort about injuries? I doubt u have - rotation is the key to keepin gthe squad fresh and preventing a burn out and end of season collapse

Far too often, he would bring something new to the table, a diffrent style of play, and he could work all those positions, in diffrent formations and with diffrent players

Gervinho has all the ingredients to play for us and will give us something extra that our other wide players don't. People claimed last season we didn't have players with winning mentality, well Gervinho won the double last year.
