In the summer, I was surprised that we signed Young. I didnt doubt the quality but thought that the central of midfield was more important. I understood the logic in buying a winger as we only had Nani, Valencia or Park to a certain extent.
The problem is Nani. He is a outstanding player but where to play him.
On the left. Nani scores more goals from the left as he comes inside and shoots with his right.
On the right. He has more assist. He has the best crosses in united. He is both footed but his right is way more better then his left.
Dont get me wrong I like both Young but I remember 09/10 season and the way we played was the best I can remember and now that we have Hernandez, we should play like this.
Valencia - RM
Nani - LM
Rooney -FW
Hernandez- ST

Modric will be the perfect player to replace Scholes. Already proven in Epl and played a big part in the champions league lasr season for thfc but £45million ??

valencia is more direct and has good strength
he is very one-footed but he gets more crosses in which is good

To be frank, Ashley Young isn't good enough.

I cant believe all the people turning on Young already. These are probably the same people who championed him as a great signing after the Arsenal game.
All 3 are good wingers, but Valencia and Young are both one dimensional and Nani is inconsistent.
Young is our best option on the left, people seem to forget all the times Nani played on the left over the last couple of years. It didnt work.

I can't believe fickle fans are turning on Young either.

nanis left foot is almost as good as his right, he actually scores more goals cutting onto his left. He's also crossing well with the left season, he's still improving and its starting not matter

You shouldn't judge a player on a few good results when the sun is shining on the team.
As SAF has said a lot of the time, he learns more about players in adversity.
The teams we aspire to reach their level, would Young get into their team? Would they even look at Young?
