Blackburn were unlucky having so many injuries but I thought Sunderland were their for the taking and the decision not to play Hoilett seemed bizarre. He was way too negative today. I never thought at any stage Sunderland were out of the game despite being so poor.

At this level you can't expect to put every man behind the ball with 40 minutes remaining away from home and expect to win.
