Henderson appreciation

Hansen lauds Henderson today for his performance lately:

"I thought it would be interesting to see who Kenny puts in the centre of midfield in the absence of Lucas, Steven Gerrard and Jay Spearing. Jordan Henderson was selected and he did well.

"Ultimately, Jordan will be a central midfield player for Liverpool. He can get box-to-box quite easily because he has a great engine on him.

Must say I agree with Hansen. Granted QPR didn't give us a full acid test in midfield. At the same time I must say that Hendo looked really comfortable alongside Adam. Hopefully he carries on with the fine form and gets a few goals in process.

Certainly he has improved a great deal and is confident also to elaborate his a game a bit more.

Hes working hard on the pitch, he has been staying late after training working on finishing and other aspects of his game and seems to have the right attitude.

Can't Ask more then honesty of effort from a young player and Henderson is showing that in abundance keep it up lad

Honestly think he's been fantastic. Great movement and passing, will be a great player for us, remember he's just a kid at 21!

I think so too. I can understand the kids getting their kicks from mocking Downing or Carroll, but I don't understand those who mock Hendo. He's played well recently and is the future of this club.

He certainly looks more suited to a CM role, great engine. I do think though he will have to ply his trade out on the right or in a CAM role when all of Lucas, Gerrard and Adam are available. However, i see him as being a success at Liverpool, the only thing we ask is 100% effort and so far he has given his all. Fair play to the lad, he's not someone who excites you when you watch but he seems like a steady eddie and every team needs that.

Henderson > Paul "Trafford Trundler" Scholes at his 'peak'

What is telling is that the panic around our DM/MF situation has virtually died down at least around here.

After Lucas' injury and especially after seeing Spearing's performance I was really depressed and in the darkest hours almost ready to write off the season.

With Henderson performing and Gerrard back in training it suddenly doesn't seem all that gloomy.
