Let LIW be our spokesperson (in his mind only), anyone who is out in the pub 'til two in the morning is obviously the right choice for the role!!

Boggers, unfortunately I am not a scout, that is the only way that one would know whom to buy.
Of course I see players but not week in week out to make that judgement.
But this goes back to january and the summer, the club failed miserably.
Its easy picking out teams that have spent and failed, there are teams that have spent and succeeded.
The transfer policy in general is pathetic.
Bates said he does not like to pay fees even small fees.
Loans and frees on decent wages has failed.
Getting rid of our better players is also a recipe for non promotion and maybe relegation eventually.
Ticket prices and sales dont equate to our transfer funds.
I along with others have had enough.
If no ambition is shown prices must be lowered.

RSL/18 ManU, fair points all round. January will be interesting. I have this gut feeling that either Papa Smurf will splash some cash, or SG will be gone; sacked or walking.
One thing that hasn't been mentioned; the difference between us at home & us away from home. Accepted wisdom is that to get promoted, you win a home & pick up points away. Can I suggest, we are one of the 3 biggest side in this division. As such, teams come to ER & park a bus. We struggle to break teams down. This is down to SG to sort out, & this is his current failing for whatever reason.
Away from home we have no such problem & pick up plenty of points. I actually think that if SG can unlock the problems at home & find someone to do in the middle or on the left what Snoddy does/can do on the right will solve the problem.
Don't bother anyone moaning about Gradel. He wanted to be closer to his family, a situation I can understand for various reasons. Lets hope we can put Derby back in their place. MOT

Atmosphere was terrible. Many seem worried. The performances, Forest aside haven't been good.
Today we lacked passion. Nothing in attack without Snodgrass.

That was woeful, really poor game on the whole, me miss howson, simple.
I'll be worried if we fail to get at least 2 decent players in jan, keep playing poor like we have been doing and we stop picking up lucky points and we will slip down the league, 23,000 there today and it sounded like less,

LIW - personally speaking i felt that Grayson had taken us as far as he could when we just scraped promotion to the Championship on the final day against Bristol Rovers.
The taxi should have been called ages ago although, in fairness, you probably be best calling for a min-bus to cart off the likes of Bates , Harvey and the other toe rags who are holding the fort.
New year new broom......................well it's good to wish.

The problem is that Grayson is achieving everything that Bates wants him to - the only two ways that Bates would consider sacking Grayson are:
(a) The home gate falls to 15k (as I predicted some time ago and not far off there now).
(b) We look as though we'll be relegated to League 1 again.
Leeds are providing Bates with the perfect combo at the moment - good revenue for a Championship club and relatively low player wages (which he'll cut if they get too high) - i.e. everything that Bates wants.

Jaunty, I tend to agree, but SG achieving what Bates wants him to, is part of his plan. I still think SG is a reasonably good manager, but he is being held back by a lack of funds. KB needs to spend on the team, not the ground

The club knew Gradel wanted to leave for family seasons so please tell me why a quality replacement was not signed?

Jaunty,Bates is already very worried about falling gates, hence the comment promotion is a must
