Why not? Good finisher, if he can finish half of the chances we create, he can easily hit 20 goals a season. He just tore up his contract in Turkey, so he should be available for January. If he can bag 7-8 goals for the second half of the season I'll be happy.

His record since leaving Scotland would suggest differently

I think he could do a job for Liverpool despite being a journey man. We are creating so many chances a tap in merchant would be in his element.

Last journeyman we signed was Paul Koncheskey.

i'd love to sign bent in january, he has scored goals wherever he has gone and would take the pressure off carroll who is still adapting to our style.
but i think someone else hit on it when they said we have plenty of goals in the team, its just a case of getting them all on the pitch together, and it also needs a few tactical tweaks from kenny.
the thing which impressed me the most about shelvey's performance on sunday was the way he would follow up any shot into the box looking for any sort of rebound or drop from the keeper. very few of our players if any have been doing that and given the amount of times we've had rebounds of the post and bar you'd maybe expect to score a few of them but we need to get the players into the positions to do so.

Come on, Boyd? You can't be serious. I really hope this is a WUM. If we are to buy anybody we need to buy better than what we already have. Not some average player who wouldn't even make the bench.
