Suarez grandparent is black

I do hope the club appeal and report Evra. .

It is key to note that Patrice Evra himself in his written statement in this case said 'I don't think that Luis Suarez is racist'.  The FA in their opening remarks accepted that Luis Suarez was not racist.

Luis himself is of a mixed race family background as his grandfather was black.  He has been personally involved since the 2010 World Cup in a charitable project which uses sport to encourage solidarity amongst people of different backgrounds with the central theme that the colour of a person's skin does not matter; they can all play together as a team.

He has played with black players and mixed with their families whilst with the Uruguay national side and was Captain at Ajax Amsterdam of a team with a proud multi-cultural profile, many of whom became good friends.

It seems incredible to us that a player of mixed heritage should be accused and found guilty in the way he has based on the evidence presented. We do not recognise the way in which Luis Suarez has been characterised.

Doesn;t mean a thing.....

the 'my best friend is black' idea doesn't cut it. If Suarez says what he said, 8 games is VERY lenient.

And I am not being biased towards my team or anti-Liverpool , racism deserves no place in football and if JT (my team's captain), is found guilty he deserves a likewise punishment,....

He has been charged for racism.

No matter how many friends he had that are black. He will be the target for more fans abuse now and it will be a shame if this forces him out of the league as he is a top player ( even if he plays for the RS)

Just saying, even if Luis is not racist, he is viewed as:

a cheat, who dives, swears, dissents and only scores 4 goals in the Pl this season.

Never world class.

Why? What has Evra done wrong?

I didn't say he did, did I?

So why should he be 'reported'? Because Suarez has blck team-mates in Uruguay? Beleive it or not, Evra has white team-mates at United and France

If he said a racist term then that is racist. It doesn't matter one jot if his grandad or best mate are black it is still a racist slur/jibe etc.

You are not immune from racially abusing another player because you are a certain colour or ethnicity.

Scouse logic makes my head hurt
