Suarez Ban

So we have 2 weeks to lodge an appeal, If the ban is upheld after this period he will miss the games up until we face united.

Obviously will not be match fit.

Where did they pluck the number 8 out of anyways?

Stinks to high heaven !!

It is a possibility yes!

As i said yesterday i woukd reject appealing today. Meaning he would miss wigan blackburn newcastle man city oldham, stoke the 1st leg of the semi and in all probability (no disrespect to oldham) the fa cup 4th round.

We should be capable of winning all of tge ganes without suarez bar the city game. Then he would b back for the 2nd leg of the semi anyway.

Why delay and hav him miss on paper much tougher matches? We have a huge month in february. Id rather take this on the chin, get in with it and hav him back asap.

The F.A. are now looking into your Club,s Official Statement.I forsee trouble in store .
The Terry decision is due later today. I think the Police will prosecute.
Don,t forget, Suarez also has to contend with a further decision from the F.A. based upon his stiff finger salute, about which there can be no doubt.

I think Suarez will end up getting his ban halved, then maybe another one game ban for the finger.

redrob,

We all have a right to be annoyed about this. Lets not make fools of ourselves and claim this is some kind of pro United, anti Liverpool agenda though. It isn't.

Well said. As harsh as you may feel it is, it is not a conspiracy against Liverpool.

Completely agree that if we rejected the chance to appeal that he would miss 8 lower key games.
A total of only 4 league games vs wigan (a), stoke (h), blackburn (h) and newcastle (h).
Two fa cup games? (no disrepect to oldham)
Carling cup semi both legs- big blow

Yes we should be winning the league games without him to have realistic chance of 4th and he probably wouldn't play in the fa cup games anyway

However the main reason we would appeal is because of Luis' tarnished reputation, which the club clearly believe has been handed down unfairly.

As mentioned previously by an earlier poster, we should take this on the chin and crack on with the next few games. This ban is creating a siege mentality at Liverpool and hopefully will raise the performance of all concerned.

It isnt a conspiracy, the FA have dished out ridiculous bans to Utd players (Ferdinand a prime example).

They are buffoons, as could be seen by their successful efforts to get Rooneys ban reduced.

We the fans need to accept their decision and stick with the team as a whole.

Also, another point the OP raised is match fitness.
If he takes the ban now, the matches come thick and fast, and thus although he would miss 8 games, he would be out of action for a shorter period of time than if he appeals and loses.

I hear what your saying about suarez's tarnished reputation. I just think it will be more detrimental to our season if this rumbles on and on.

I think the statement the club have released shoukd be enought to show luis that the club are right behind him, and as harsh as the ban seems because of the lack of evidence, i think we should just take the moral high ground and be done with it.

If luis is still out for they games in february i doubt weel have a good month and that will probably kill off our hopes at the top 4. And in my opinion, this clubs future is more important than 1 individuals.
