I'm going to go out on a limb and say last season was the season Dirk peaked. It's all downhill from here for him. We can already see this decline in his shocking form so far this season.
Don't get me wrong, I love Dirk Kuyt, I think he's been a very good servant to the club and has been there when we have needed him most. He's never caused problems or complained and has been a complete professional in all of his years at LFC. I just think he's given us everything he has to offer and we have taken all we need from him. He's not getting any younger and with the expansion of the squad he is no longer a starter. There is no place for sentiment right now at Liverpool when we need to get back in to the champions league asap and bring in the sort of quality that we expect.
I think it's time we cash in on him, there's bound to be some interest from Italian teams and there may even be a move back to Holland on the books, who knows. We could make a tidy £7-10M from his sale which isn't to shabby for us and it also gives Dirk the opportunity to keep playing football regularly. A win win for all.

A good old fashioned penalty box striker is a MUST, we all know that.
We need another player in the 'Lucas mould' and someone to provide a bit more creativity in the centre of the park.
Apart from Bellamy none of the widemen have impressed me and I wouldn't mind Shelvey getting a 'run' until Gerrard's back

Shelvey should have started yesterday to bolster the midfield. Tiote would be an option for DM and Bent would make an instant impact if we need a goalscorer

There is a lack of dynamism in the middle of the pitch which should be solved when Stevie returns
Downing isn't really showing genuine class / trickery. He's trying to outrun people but then not getting his delivery consistently good
Adam I'm just undecided on. He does quite often take the wrong option. Perhaps he needs Stevie there to guide him a bit and help him reach the next level. For such a good striker of the ball the penalty was terrible
The team has been playing well but not got the points the performances perhaps deserve. Failure to finish / be clinical is a serious problem.

Enrique has been superb all season. On the brightened our defence was very good again and all great teams are built from the bottom up so our glass is half full, we just need to build upon that.
Hope Donnelly joins us today. Just saw his face after he scored a goal, he is a fierce predator!

The other 4 places are up for grabs and no-one at the minute is really putting in a performance to claim one
