It would sound cruel to say that I am glad he is missing the game against Rangers, but I think I am relieved he is missing the game against Rangers. The criticism is due, in my opinion. He makes too many mistakes for a defender who is supposed to be experienced and at thirty four years old, he is very unlikely to improve. Having said that, his performances have actually been improving since the team selection has been more consistent.

How will we cope? It is difficult to say. We are still to see how a few of these players will be able to handle such an important game, especially when the fixture is at night, because in my opinion the atmospheres are even better at night against Rangers. It may be a case of outscoring Rangers, but Celtic's defensive record has improved: four clean sheets in the last four games. Yet it is only once Majstorovic is not in the team, we will see how significant he has been in our progress.

To me Maj has been a major scapegoat for many of the Celtic fans, in the few Celtic 90mins I have seen this season he has been your best player on the park.
