Next Blackburn manager; Steve Bruce?

http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11676/7390380/Bruce-an-option-for-Blackburn

Would you consider this an option?

I don't see how Kean can be sacked after his pay-rise, so it's all ifs and buts. But would you swap Kean for Bruce if you could?

SkyBet also offer odds 12 to 1 of Blackburn winning their next match at Liverpool. Is it worth me putting twenty quid on this, to get a bit of easy and risk-free money?

It says a lot about Kean that even an awful manager like Bruce would be a massive improvement on him. The guy certainly wouldn't keep us up but he brought Birmingham up from the Championship twice so I wouldn't be totally against him. Not the least bit ideal but are any actual decent managers gonna come work for the chicken chokers? Probably not.

No, don't bet on Rovers. Our 7 wins under Kean have been:
Last season:
- West Brom (h & a) just before Di Matteo was sacked.
- Liverpool (h) just before Hodgson was sacked.
- Bolton (h) when they went on about a 9 game losing streak.
- Wolves (a) ok I'll give him that one.
This season:
- Arsenal (h) at the height of Wenger's mental breakdown.
- Swansea (h) will give him that one.

There's as much chance of Kean pulling off a skinsuit, revealing he's actually been Paul Ince all this time, running onto the pitch and nutting Suarez as there is of Rovers winning.

Why do you think its 12/1 because its no where near risk free and the bookies expect liverpool to win.

We concede an average of >2 a game, how do you rate our chances of scoring 3 or 4?

Halves, is Bruce really an imporvement on Kean? His recent managearial record is pretty poor. Unlike Kean he was generously backed at Sunderland, but still couldn't make his team win. His promotions with Birmingham came a while ago, experience doesn't seem to have helped him

I don't think a Blackburn win is too far-fetched. You're due a lot of luck, maybe it will all come in this game? And maybe the Gods will punish Liverpool for their recent crimes?

Where there's a Yak, there's a way. I predict a Blackburn win, good luck

Kean has a 100% record against Liverpool, it would be rather funny if he still had it next week.

I wouldn't say funny, more like a miracle.

Yeah I'd say Bruce is an improvement, I agree he's made a total pig's ear of the Sunderland job, but he was mostly a success at his 6 clubs before that. The crucial point with Kean is that he has no playing or management experience and has failed miserably in his one job so far (keep stating it but an 18% win ratio in the league says it all). There is nothing whatsoever to suggest Kean will ever be anything other than a terrible manager, whereas Bruce has proven in the past that he can be decent. Also, Kean has spent around £20m on 8 signings in his year at Rovers. About the same value has gone out of the club in Jones and Kalinic, but its a myth that he hasn't had the resources to build his own team.

Well stick the money on if you want. You seem a reasonable bloke and I don't mean this as an insult but you appear to have this widely held view that given the circumstances, Kean isn't really all that bad. Maybe watching £20 very quickly disappear in a horror show of shoddy defending and lacklustre attacking will change your mind.

I dont know about Steve Bruce but even Radio 2s Ken Bruce couldnt be as bad as the deluded one.
