sky sports news reporting that we are "considering" a 1m bid for kasper.
i for one, would like to keep him.
from varying reports (not sure how true they are) westwood is on his way to sunderland. which is a shame as he would be an ideal replacement.
who would you like to see as our number one next season if he was to leave?
kasper to leicester????

Bargain...you thought Bates had any credibility left...?
......................................................................................
Well even being the miserly businessman that he is, I thought he'd be smarter than this??? didn't you?
At least in the past he could feed us all his PR nonsense, & the lack of transparceny over financial information meant we couldn't know for sure that he was thieving, but as soon as you start selling top players you lose ALL credibility with every fan, not just the cynics.
If you want to milk the most out of a cash cow business then you have to at least appear to be making positive moves & satisfying the paying customers.
Fans will be raging after this, attendances will plummet & his revenues will dry up. So from a business point of view it makes no sense, unless of course he has a buyer lined up soon?

When has he ever done this...???
......................................................................
Well the whole of last season really, we signed many players last summer & while they weren't marquee names, they were still proven players with championship experience who you expect a promoted league1 side to sign (even Collins).
Any other club in this division would have signed McCartney/Lihaj/ and/or O'Brien if they had the chance.
So all in all, while we didn't spend much on transfer fees, we did commit in terms of wages.....
I realise this is not enough for some fans, but most saw this as an acceptable level of investment for the first season back in the championship. The high attendances at ER indicated that indeed most fans were satisfied.
Now however, Bates has actually gone that step too far & even patient, objective & understanding fans like myself, will be furious and disbelieving & will turn their backs on ER until he goes.

Many Leeds fans have already voted with there feet and will only return once Bates leaves

That's not what last season's attendance figures were saying... highest in the division.
I'm happy to accept that you & others were right, but this is a new low... even for Bates.

Why?
Could you not see that on a 2 year contract Kasper was always going to go this summer if we didn't get promoted?

Jonty fair comment. But I wonder who else saw this coming. That said, the club website gives a hint as to why - something to do with Kasper's agent probably asking for way too much money.
Let's hope this doesn't start an exudus with Gradel, Snoddy etc leaving.

Boggers, see there you go again, reading the club's website and imagining things that aren't there.
Where did the club say he asked for more money?
Have you read Kasper's statement he put out yesterday?
he knew nothing about this transfer, is happy at Leeds and has not been offered an extension contrary to what Leeds website would have you believe.
He is pretty peed off with Grayson.
Do you genuinely trust Grayson and Bates, I mean really, do you?

Just read Kasper's comments about being shocked at Leeds' decision to accept a bid. This is somewhat at odds with the website saying ...it was going to be difficult to agree a deal. Something's not right here. Conspiracy theorists off you go.

So Boggers, do you still trust in Grayson and Bates?
