I think the way to look at if you got ripped off when buying a striker is to see if he can score as many goals in a season for how many millions paid for him
Rooney 25million - there was a season where he scored like 40 goals so he seems worth it
Van Persie 2million - Clearly worth it
Carroll 35million -
Torres 50million -
