Luis Suarez

A very good article in today's Times. In effect it says, and I now struggle to challenge it, that the matter should have been handled differently. A statement, by the club, along the lines of, " Patrice Evra has alleged Luis made a racist remark, Luis denies it, but realises that what he said may well have been taken out of context, the words having been spoken in his Latin- American Spanish, and absolutely no racial slur intended. On reflection, he apologises unreservedly for any upset caused, he is very anti-racist, and the club will ensure that it's players are advised accordingly as to what is acceptable and not acceptable when a LFC player makes any comment in the public domain" if that is Luis'/Kenny's/team mates/club stance, any way of getting this behind us. With an apology such as this, credit, in the form of the punishment being suspended in some form or other, might be the way of putting this behind us and getting on with the game.
I know some if not many will disagree but, it's a way forward people. I personally think it's like a wet blanket hanging over the team. I'm not blaiming it for yesterday's performance, full marks to Black burn, we were dire.
