I think, given the employment history in the west of Scotland, that Rangers folk are better suited to the old 9-5 games, but 7.45pm at Celtic Park is a great leveller lol and a holiday season 7.45pm is even better! I vary between considering it a 'terrible beauty' and 'eefin mental'. It's good for Celtic but bad for public safety, perhaps?

CelticGhirl,
Maybe I am.
Anyone got stats for away wins in Old Firm games during night time kick offs versus away wins in Old Firm games during lunch time or afternoon kick offs?
I personally can't remember Celtic or Rangers recording too many away wins at 7.30/7.45/8pm games?

Hartley, I would say in general, the Gers don't turn up for midweek games, OF or not.

Celticghirl, My comment in relation to the west of Scotland's employment history was, as we approach 2012, meant as a bit of light historical humour.
My two main serious points are: 1) I feel a night time kick off will help the the home team (ie Celtic) as the crowd will be more 'up' for it and 2) that night time holiday kick-offs can be dodgy from a security point of view as people basically spend the day drinking for ages before the game.
If I have a third serious point, it's that I have conflicting feelings about this game given I'm happy re: the crowd being more 'up' for it as it helps the team but at the same time worried about trouble.
Anyway, hopefully we'll get the ideal scenario of 3 points and no bother.

DC, As a Celtic fan I'd FAR rather play Aberdeen, Hearts or just about anyone away on a Saturday/Sunday afternoon than play them in their own grounds on Tuesday/Wednesday night! It would be interesting to see some research/stats around this. Do you think Rangers are dodgy at home in midweek games??

Atheist, All I wanted is proof (of Old Firm evening away wins), given your username I would have thought you'd be a fan of those who seek evidence before believing.
(Ps At present we do not have the appropriate aforementioned biscuits so it would be impossible to get them unless I go on a long track to the 24 hour garage and it's a bit windy in Beal Feirste/Belfast at present!!)

HARTLEY.
If you wish proof then why don't you look it up?
Oh, and no munchies left over from the Sol Invictusmas celebrations?
