Liverpool have 55 million pound to spend and who do they spend it on a poor mans Peter Crouch for 35 million and a midfielder who is worse than Darron Gibson for 20 millions!

Although its a tad too early to critisise young signings I must say I was very disappointed with Hernderson during the U21 Euros.
Gave the ball away a great deal for the main playmaker in the squad, and it really hit home how poor Englands midfield were in general when the best passes and inroads were made by Chris Smalling and Phil Jones. If there were a more damning verdict on the state of that particular midfield than that was it!
I am glad we did not sign Henderson. He may well become one of the Premier League's star players but on that showing he wouln't get the game time at United to make the necessary progress.
I wouldn't brand him with the Gibson brush either. Gibson is a ridiculous threat in and around the area whereas Jordan offers almost zero threat in that area, and Gibbo a tidy range of passing. Henderson is still short of it, but is 4 years his junior.

One thing I'm very pleased about is that UTD never tried to get Henderson as we were linked to him.
I'm over the moon infact !!

Henderson is one for the future and Carroll has not been fit - he will tear defences apart when fit

Steve Bruce must be laughing, got rid of Henderson and is getting Gibson, a superior midfielder, and gets 15m profit in the process.

maybe carroll with suit kenny's hit and hope style.
now they have a player who can be there when they hoof it up the park yet again.
maybe kenny thought he owed newcastle after the terrible job he did there. they must be laughing their socks off.
i think that most sane managers would have made a bid of no more that 15 million for him.
maybe he'll go to celtic next as he owes them a favour after the disastrous job he did there! watch out for a £50 million bid for Samaras
