Tom Glick and Nigel virtually confirmed that provided an offer comes in Paul Green would go in January. Given that he is almost out of contract he would be a very good acquisition for any Championship side. Perish the thought but he would do Forest a lot of good.

But it would not be a disaster if he did. I would rather he stayed at Derby though.

I'd rather Green stayed too, but today was a 'Commons performance'. He was in the shop window and played very well - just like KFC did for those few short weeks when we were kidded on that the club were 'that close' to agreeing terms.

At least things are out in the open now - if he goes, he goes. Just so long as there is adequate cover. For me, Jeff Hendrick is going to be a far better player than Paul Green ever was.

I also think that Callum Ball is going to be a far better player than Steve Howard ever was.
